How the internet has helped me in life?

The Internet
The Internet used to be about playing games and having fun when I was young. I have come to reminisce and realize that the Internet has been a big part of my life. Not only did I use the Internet for games, but for research. Every time I had a question that I could not acquire an answer to, the Internet was there for me. The reason I say the Internet was there for me is because I had no father. When I had questions only a father could answer, I looked to the Internet for advice, including questions about puberty and feelings. Research is only one way of which the Internet has helped me. The Internet has helped me figure out who I want to be in life.
It was in the beginning of my sixth grade where I actually started using the Internet daily. Not only for informational purposes but for the online games and Myspace where messaging my crush was a daily need. Going into my freshman year of high school, I started using Craigslist, selling almost every material possession I had just to make money to be able to buy clothes that was in the trend. Besides the tribulation of getting rid of everything I had, I grew a passion for selling things. I fell in love with the art of selling and persuasion. I did not realize this passion up until the time I sold a custom built computer for four-hundred fifty dollars that I originally brought a year before that time for three-hundred fifty dollars. I instantly knew that selling was my niche. I realized I had this passion because of the Internet. It was because of my use of the Internet that I realized business was the career route I was going to take in life. I am a freshman at Fullerton College in California and I am majoring in Marketing Management where I will pursue my passion for business, hopefully, being able to establish my own company one day. Winning this scholarship will aid me in the continuation of my education.
Some people might argue that the Internet sucks the life out of children because that’s all they use now, but they’re just like books, only electronic. The Internet may have its disadvantages but I believe the advantages outweigh these disadvantages by a lot. I have certainly experienced these advantages. The Internet does not only help with figuring out who you want to be in life but also benefits you with ease of communication, entertainment, and information. It also saves you time and effort.
Ultimately, it is evident that the Internet has helped me figure out who I want to be in life; from questions answered to the enlightenment of the love I have for business. The Internet helped me explore my own world, leading me to figure out who I wanted to be in life. Winning this scholarship will provide me help in buying a laptop where I can do my assignments. Going to the library every day gets pretty exhausting when you don't have a car. The Internet is not only a powerful tool but very informative and I am glad to say that it has been of great service to me in life.
